Waipara River Mouth
Walking permitted. This is a shared environment. Please be aware that vehicles, bicycles, horse riders and wildlife share this environment, so please use common sense.

Horse riding permitted. This is a shared environment. Please be aware that pedestrians, bicycles, motorised vehicles and wildlife share this environment, so please use common sense.

Dogs on leashes. This is a shared environment. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all time to protect other users of the river including other dogs, people, horses, and wildlife.
Vehicles must be road licensed and drive only on identified tracks.
Motor bikes must be road licensed and must drive only on identified tracks.
Camping restricted to areas only where signposted.
Hunting restricted to game bird hunting during the season. Please refer to hunring regulations by clicking on the icon.
Fires not permitted.
This section of the river is crucial spawning grounds for native fish and breeding areas for birds; please respect this.
